What is TEDx?
TEDx is a program of independently organized, local events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience, combining live speakers and TED Talks videos to spark deep discussion and connection. These events are run by local volunteers, not by the TED organization, and are granted a free license to operate under specific rules and regulations from TED, with the goal of spreading local ideas and conversations in a non-commercial, non-political, and non-religious context.
Welcome to TEDxMowe 2025
TEDxMowe is an independently organized TEDx event licensed by TED and curated to spotlight powerful ideas, untold stories, and bold thinkers shaping the future from one of Nigeria’s most overlooked communities: Mowe, Ogun State, redefining the possibilities of ideas to the world at large.
Mowe is often seen as a mere passage between Lagos and Ogun State, a “forgotten place“ without much attention from media or infrastructure investors. But beneath the surface lies a generation of thinkers, builders, creators, and visionaries who are actively building the future from the inside out.
TEDxMowe exists to challenge this narrative. We believe Mowe is not a backdrop, it‘s a birthplace of brilliance. Our mission is to show that global potential can grow from forgotten places.
